CROMOK was established in the late 1980s in Australia , when original members of CROMOK, Sam, Miji, Karl and Din were studying in Wollongong , Australia . The band was pretty well known among the locals there due to the fact that the boys did perform in clubs, mostly around their campus area.

While studying in Australia , CROMOK made an impact in Malaysia 's music scene as well when they released their first album, Image of Purity in 1991, in which it was distributed by VSP Records.

Malaysian music enthusiasts were not really into trash metal in the beginning, but after a while they learnt to accept the music and the album sold to a booming 70,000 units. Amazing! The song Metallurgical , a combination of traditional Ulek Mayang music and trash metal made CROMOK's entrance into the local music scene even bigger and stronger, as well as making a difference in revolutionizing Malaysian music. And that was just the beginning!

In 1993, the group released their second album, Forever In Time, which sold nearly 100,000 units, under recording label, EMI. From there, the band together with EMI released more albums, such as Yours Truly in 1996, Mean Meaner Meanest in 1999, Image of Purity in 2000, What's Left in 2001 and last but not least, Deafening Silence in 2002, a compilation album together with FTG.

While under the record label EMI, Din pulled put from the band and in 2001, Karl left the band as well. But it wasn't easy to find a good replacement. But fortunately there was Hillary Ang, a former guitarist for Search, who has been around in the local rock circuit. From then onwards, the band went on to make more music… and now, Sam, Miji and Hillary is CROMOK, with their latest album Untitled

Rock on!
